On November 18, 2007 Garifuna Cultural Group produced their annual festival celebrating Garifuna Settlement Day.  Garifuna Cultural Group have become the premier organization in Los Angeles concerning Garifuna Celebrations.  The group is led by Martha Martinez.

Mission Statement:  The Belize Cultural Foundation is a 501 (C) 3 philanthropic organization of Belizean Americans united to promote the economic advancement of the Belizean Community, with a focus on economic and educational empowerment and public advocacy to improve the quality of life in Belize and the United States.

GOALS:  Belize Cultural Foundation is focusing its efforts on enhancing human capital, education, and strategic philanthropy to promote the advancement of the Belizean American community and improve the quality of life in Belize and the United States.

In the area of Human Capital, the organization plans to contribute to various Educational Funds in Belize and the United States. We will continue our collaboration with the various elementary schools in Belize and seek to initiate other meaningful educational programs.

Through this program we plan to honor Belizean Americans who practice charitable responsibility and whose generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles for the benefit of Belizeans.

Mission Statement:  Belizean International AIDS Foundation is non-profit and community based organization that provides vital services to men women and children living with HIV and AIDS in Los Angeles County.  BIAF provides treatment and prevention education as well as advocates on behalf of people living with AIDS or AIDS-related legislation on the federal, state and local levels.

Mission Statement: The Concerned Belizean Association of Los Angeles (a non-profit organization) has been dedicated since its inception to serve the Belizean American community by serving as a clearinghouse responsible for disseminating information relative to Belize and Belizeans.  We are also sponsors of social, cultural and educational events at the local level to bring the Belizeans residing in the Los Angeles area together.  Our most recognized community event is our annual "Festival Day in the Park" which is held in the month of September.  In Belize we have awarded high school scholarships to under-privileged students throughout the country  and through the Y. M. C. A. of Belize, we sponsor a program for Senior Citizens.

Vision:  To become a place where Garinagu from all communities can congregate in a proper, social setting , with dignity and attain economic advancement, social justice and political empowerment.

Goals:  1. To establish a  Garifuna Community Cultural Learning and Resource Center in the Los Angeles county area. 2. Work to maintain the Garifuna culture alive. 3. Create innovative educational programs that motivate, expand knowledge, promote its culture in general, enhance Garifuna awareness for opportunities and foster Garifuna identity. 4. Build a strong Garifuna community through education and organizing.  5. Engage in community economic development.
